Smith Family Practice does not provide chronic pain management or prescribe long-term controlled pain medications. We also do not prescribe, refill, or assume responsibility for long-term controlled substance medications used to treat anxiety, including Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, or similar medications—even when previously prescribed by another provider. Patients requiring such treatment will be referred to an appropriate pain management or mental health specialist.
